Year 11 historians gain expert insight into Lavenham’s Wartime Legacy

Article date: 22 September 2026

A huge thanks to Jeremy Gardner for taking the time to come into school and run workshops on the American WW2 air base at Lavenham with Year 11 History students.

Jeremy has studied the Lavenham site for many years and is giving up his time to share his knowledge of the base. The study of this site forms 20% of the History GCSE and students will also be visiting the airfield soon.
