Today, Darryl Barfield, father of Harley, visited Stour Valley Community School on behalf of the Harley Barfield Project to donate a bleed kit, marking the anniversary of the tragic event that claimed his son’s life.
During his visit, Darryl spoke about the importance of bleed kits and how they can save lives in critical situations. His mission is simple: if his efforts can save even one life, they will have made a difference.
Darryl met with Mrs Kelly, Headteacher, Mr Lee, Harley’s former Head of Year, and Mr Leppard, his former tutor, to reflect on Harley’s time at the school and share memories of his character and aspirations.
Mrs Kelly said:
"Harley's loss, three years ago, was felt deeply across our school community. We are profoundly grateful to Darryl for donating this bleed kit and for his tireless work to educate young people about knife crime. This is a powerful contribution that will help keep our community safer."
