DT mini-rotations are the PERFECT time to trial new projects.  Brutalist architecture can be very divisive, but today the fanbase for these imposing buildings is growing, and a revival of the style evident.  Some Year 7 students had been given just two double lessons to design and build their own bug hotels in the style of this brutalist movement, and using reclaimed material (the CEC are very pleased!).  We are exceptionally pleased with the outcomes (Mr Stephens wanted to keep them!), and in lessons we have seen a great deal of collaboration, kindness and ambition.  We are convinced we have the future Alison/Peter Smithson's in training here!
