Congratulations to all Stour Valley Community School students from the class of 2022 who are collecting their GCSE results today.
After such unprecedented disruption to their education in the past two years, we are delighted to see their hard work and resilience recognised and we are particularly pleased to see that so many of them made such good progress, way beyond expectations, from their individual starting points, at every level.
Some of our top achievers in Year 11 were:
Molly Anderson who achieved eight ‘9’ grades, one ‘8’ grade and a ‘6’ grade and will go on to Hills Road to do A level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Psychology.
Jessica Sibley who achieved six ‘9’ grades and four ‘8’ grades and will go on to West Suffolk College to study Music Performance.
Maria Hanagan who achieved five ‘9’ grades, three ‘8’ grades and three ‘7’ grades and wants to do A levels but hasn’t decided which ones yet.
Adam Harper who achieved three ‘9’ grades, four ‘8’ grades and two ‘7’ grades who will go on to Abbeygate to do A level Chemistry, Biology and Psychology.
Callum Dalziel who achieved three ‘9’ grades, five ‘8’ grades and two ‘7 grades who will go on to Abbeygate to do A Level Psychology, Politics and History.
Toby Bush who achieved three ‘9’ grades, four ‘8 grades a ‘7’ grade and three ‘6’ grades and will go on to study at the Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology.
Jessica Beetles who achieved three ‘9’ grades, four ‘8’ grades and two ‘7’ grades and will go on to study A levels at Thomas Gainsborough Sixth Form.
Rory McMaster who achieved eight 8 grades, a ‘7’ and a ‘6’ grade and is going to Abbeygate to do A level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology.
Millie McBride who achieved 5 ‘9’ grades, 5 ’8’ grades and a ‘7’ grade and will go on to Abbeygate to do A level Maths, Business Studies and Psychology.
Freya Quick who achieved 2 ‘9’ grades, six ‘8’ grades, two ‘7’ grades and a ‘6’ grade and will go on to Long Road Sixth Form to do A level Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
