There were big smiles and proud moments at Stour Valley Community School on GCSE Results Day as students celebrated an excellent set of GCSE results, reflecting their hard work, resilience, and determination over the past five years.
We are incredibly proud of all our students. Their commitment and the support from staff and families have led to some truly outstanding achievements. It was a wonderful day celebrating the individual journeys and successes of each student.
Among those celebrating exceptional results:
- James Harley achieved an incredible nine grade 9s and one grade 8. James will be heading to Abbeygate Sixth Form and Taking A-level Chemistry, Physics, Maths, and Further Maths.
- Harry Minnette was awarded eight grade 9s and three grade 8s. He will be studying Maths, Computer Science and Economics at Abbeygate Sixth Form.
- Penny Bell achieved four grade 9s and three grade 8s, and is going on to study Maths, Psychology and Art at Colchester Sixth Form College.
- Emily Reeves earned three grade 9s and two grade 8s, and will be taking French, English and Politics at Abbeygate.
- Rin Sibley achieved two grade 9s and five grade 8s, and is moving on to study Psychology, Chemistry and Biology at Abbeygate.
- Grae Mileham received two grade 9s and four grade 8s, and will be studying Maths, Physics and Economics, also at Abbeygate.
As a school community, Stour Valley is proud of all its students – not just those with the highest grades, but everyone who has worked hard and achieved their personal best. The results reflect their dedication and the strength of support from teachers and families alike.
We wish all our students the very best as they move on to the next stage of their education or training. They leave us as confident, capable young adults ready to take on new challenges.
