The Stour Valley Community School trip to the Ardèche was an exhilarating adventure, packed with unforgettable experiences. With the main activity being canoeing down the picturesque Ardèche River, navigating rapids and soaking in the stunning scenery. Despite a few canoes capsizing, students quickly learned to work together to get back on course. The high ropes course challenged our courage and teamwork as we climbed and zipped through the treetops. Many students overcame their fear of heights, supporting each other every step of the way. Canyoneering added an extra thrill, with its mix of hiking, climbing, and sliding down natural rock formations. At night, we bivouacked under the stars (while in tents as it was very cold), sharing stories and reflecting on the day's adventures. Faced with these challenges, students pushed past their limits, cheered each other on, and celebrated their newfound confidence. Each activity brought us closer together and made for an incredible journey full of laughter, excitement, and life long memories.
