Please see the message below which we received today, providing clarification on the Cavendish Road closure:

Cavendish Road Closure – January 2023 

Dear All, 

I am writing to update you about the closure of Cavendish Road by Gigaclear who are currently installing full fibre broadband in Clare. 

Last week the school, and several parents, raised concerns with me about the temporary closure of Cavendish Road. Since then I have been working with our Highways Network Assurance team and Gigaclear to find a solution.  

 Yesterday Gigaclear confirmed that they will be changing their plans regarding Cavendish Road and will now only be shutting it on the weekend of January 21-22, between 8am-4pm (Saturday) and 9am-4pm (Sunday) Whilst there will still be inconvenience to Clare residents and anyone traveling to Clare at the weekend, this should remove the issues relating to school transport and buses during the week.
