Learning about case studies as a form of research this morning, Year 10 Psychology students found out about a unique individual called Henry Molaison. Having lost the ability to create memory, he was able to improve on muscle memory (or 'procedural' memory) by undertaking repetitive tasks. One of those tasks was looking into a mirror and drawing around a shape reflected in the mirror. Students then had a chance to try this out for themselves, boosting cognitive function and linking to their learning.
